Accountant by day, entertainer & musician by night, Deano has many years active experience in the Music Industry. In the early 1960’s-70’s days of Australian Classic Rock he worked as a teenage guitarist/vocalist in Melbourne pop bands, sharing the stages & opening the shows for many of the Oz Rock stars who are now household names. From the 70’s as a part-time muso, he played with various working covers bands over the years from 50’-60’s Rock n Roll, though Mersey Sound, Australian Rock, 70’s to the 90’s when he returned to full-time music as guitarist/musical director of a Country Rock Band touring Australia & Pacific. 1998 he found himself on Norfolk Island for nearly 10 years as General Manager of the Island’s largest Coach Tour & Entertainment Company where he continued his entertainment roles as a local guitarist/vocalist, and played musical comedy & drama lead roles in his company’s tourist theatre restaurants. Since returning to Australia to continue his accounting career, Deano has maintained a regular working schedule as musician & guitarist and he finds himself in demand as feature artist at many of the music Clubs around SE Queensland.
After all that musical fun, playing Radio Host on 997 Bridge FM is “right up his alley”.
