Redcliffe Haka and Poi Workshops 2008 |

The workshops are available to youth aged 7 – 18 and adults. Learn about the meaning of the New Zealand Haka and experience the swiftness of the New Zealand Poi. Participate in a unique cultural experience. Breathe life into the Redcliffe Haka and Poi. It will be held on Sunday 24th August and Sunday 31st August. 1pm to 4pm. If you know of a business that is about to upgrade their computer systems, then tell them about the Rotary Club of Nundah’s Computers 4 kids program. Known as C4K. The project refurbishes Ex Government and Corporate PC’s for distribution to disadvantaged students of any age. If you wish to donate your old computer (Must be a minimum Pentium 3) or maybe you are a School, Kindergarten, Tertiary College or Non Profit organisation and want a computer? Has a social day from 9:30am on the second Monday of each month consisting of raffles, morning tea and concerts. Cost is only $3. Hoy is held on alternate every second Mondays at 11:30am. Redcliffe Parkinson’s Support Group |
Meets at the Redcliffe Paceway Lion’s Den on the third Wednesday morning of each month. The Support Group is a non-profit organization to help Parkinson suffers. We do have a monthly Newspaper and our meetings only cost $1 (for a cuppa) and we have no membership fee. We do hold the occasional raffle when we can obtain a donation. For more details contact….

The Annual Spring Rose Show will be held at the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Auditorium, Mt Coot-tha on Saturday 4th October 11:30am to 5pm and Sunday 5th October 9am to 3pm. Admission is $3, children under 15 are free. The will be roses of the highest quality staged in competition on the show bench assuring a breath-taking display of colour and perfumes. There will be an exhibition roses, decorative roses, floribunda roses, miniature roses, mini-flora roses, modern shrub and old-fashioned roses. The members of the society will be on hand to answer any questions and to provide advice. Light refreshment will be on sale. |

On the 11th and 12th of October from 9am to 4pm there will be The Floral Art Society Of Queensland’s Annual Show at Mt. Coot-tha Auditorium. Many beautiful flowers will be used in arrangements to interpret natures wonderful diversity in “The Four Seasons”. At the event will be Demonstrations of flower arranging, children can make their own arrangements. Entry is $3. Primary School children free, refreshments available.
