Workshop: Create your own vinyl art

(Jan 23) Turn up the colour and create your own piece of music-themed art!

This hands-on contemporary art workshop invites participants to create their own unique artwork inspired by music, album covers and the nostalgic appeal of vinyl records. They might also draw ideas from the touring exhibition Enjoy this trip: The art of music posters at Redcliffe Museum.

Participants will start with a pre-prepared textured vinyl-shaped base. They will transform it using a mix of classic and contemporary art techniques, including decoupage, collage and stenciling. The workshop encourages them to experiment with colour, patterns and different materials to create their own personal response to music. They will take home a one-of-a-kind artwork ready to display.
